About Adams

The City of Adams lies directly to the south of Friendship and has a population of about 1,900 citizens. Adams used to be named South Friendship back in the day, but the name was changed after a petition from local residents.

A long running tradition in Adams is the Adams Flea Market. Established in 1980, this 11 acre flea market lets residents from the area come together and sell either new or used merchandise, art, hand crafted goods, and much more. The flea market has free admission and anyone can sell at the market. More information can be found on the flea market’s website.

To the south is the Quincy Bluff and Wetlands Natural Area. This natural area offers great hiking with many different environments to trek through. Quincy Bluff rises up 200 feet over the park and offers a view like no other. Throughout the park visitors will find many different species of trees and plants that provide excellent cover from the sun on a hot summer’s day. The park permits many different recreational activities including hunting, fishing, cross country skiing, trapping, and more.

Adams offers tons of different recreational opportunities for those who come to visit. Whether you’re looking for a laid back afternoon or a exercise filled trip through the park, Adams has you covered. If Adams seems right for you, check out one of the listings below!
